Jakob Ingebrigtsen returned to the Diamond League for the first time since September 2024 and finished fourth in the 1500m at the Silesia Diamond League in Chorzow, Poland. Just thirteen days after winning 5000m gold at the European Championships, the two-time Olympic champion led early but was swallowed up before the final turn, clipped by spikes that left his legs bleeding, and boxed in with no room to fight back. Ethan Strand stormed from eleventh at 800m to win in 3:30.77, with Phanuel Koech second (3:31.14), Cole Hocker third (3:31.16), and Ingebrigtsen fourth in 3:31.19 — the top four covered by less than half a second.
