Jakob Ingebrigtsen is back, and he did not choose an easy road. After Achilles surgery in February and eleven months away from racing, the Norwegian returned in Birmingham to win his fourth straight European 5000m title in 13:15.29. Now he steps up to the distance that built his entire career. On August 23 he runs the 1500m at the Silesia Diamond League, the same Chorzów track where he broke the 3000m world record in 2024 with 7:17.55. Four days later he lines up at Weltklasse Zurich in a sold-out Letzigrund Stadium, his first Diamond League race in nearly two years.
