Jakob Ingebrigtsen is back on the Diamond League start line for the first time since 2024, and the men's 1500m has instantly become the most loaded event on the calendar. The two-time Olympic champion returns at Silesia on August 23 and Zurich on August 27, racing the exact distance he built his career on, at the same Polish stadium where he broke the 3000m world record with 7:17.55 back in 2024. Waiting for him are the two men who claimed his territory while he was recovering from Achilles surgery: Olympic 1500m champion Cole Hocker and reigning world champion Isaac Nader, the Portuguese runner who stunned the sport in Tokyo by beating Jake Wightman by just two hundredths of a second.
