To celebrate Cat’s 30th birthday, I planned a surprise winter escape to Tromsø, Norway, deep inside the Arctic Circle.

From chasing the Northern Lights and meeting Sami reindeer herders, to husky sledding through snowy landscapes, Tromsø was the perfect winter adventure.

We stayed at Clarion Hotel The Edge, a waterfront hotel in the heart of Tromsø with views across the fjord, mountains and Arctic Cathedral.
