Jakob Ingebrigtsen of Norway achieved a significant milestone by winning the 1500m at the 2025 Championships in Nanjing with a time of 3:38.79. This victory was part of a historic double, as he also clinched the 3000m title, becoming only the second man after Haile Gebrselassie to accomplish this feat at a single World Indoor Championships.
