Jakob Ingebrigtsen is BACK! ????????
After an Achilles injury and surgery put his 2026 season in doubt, Jakob Ingebrigtsen returned to the biggest stage in Budapest for the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championship.
And in his first major test, he delivered.
Ingebrigtsen won the men's 5,000 meters in 12:59.24, using a powerful finishing kick to pull away from Olympic champion Cole Hocker and the rest of the field.
The victory marked another major moment in Jakob's comeback and earned him the Ultimate Championship title in the 5,000 meters.
But his comeback isn't over.
Jakob is also set to compete in the 1500 meters, where he will face Josh Kerr in one of the most anticipated middle-distance showdowns of the championship.
